The instrumental music on the pianos, flutes, violins and Jhorns, participated in by Mrs. jVanLaer and Misses Philyaw, Tienken ! and Green wald l and Messrs. The Vocal Solo "Sunset" by Mr. George Myers, was heartily applauded, and this gentleman was compelled to give tho' audience a fev more notes ot his fine baritone before they would be satisfied. Neff, was rendered very nicely and elicited frequent applause. j The Vocal Solo "Magnetic Valse" by M:ss Annie Dawson, wr a rendered in such exquisite style and with a voice so h.:ghly cultivated, full- of melody, and withal so sweet and charming as to bring forth rapt-urous applause from the audience, which was continued until the fair young Wilmingtonian again appeared and sang in response to the encore. j The "Moonlight Serenade." bv the Cornet Club, Jdelighted the audience more than their previous piece, and the obliging gentlemen of the Club were com pelled to blow again, j The Trio Vocal "Peace on the Deep" by; Miss Callais Und Messrs. Hargrave and Myers, was.rendcred with fine effect; the full, rich notes of Miss Callais soprano were in excel very notes of ent harmony with the sil Mr. Hargrave's tenor and Mr. Myers' fine, deep baritone, and the audience encored again. The Duet for Zithern, performed by Messrs. Ehrlich and VanOrsdell, was de lightful to listen to, and was performed excellently well. The audience, testified their appreciation of the - performance by their hearty applause, and alb teemed to regret when the duet was ended. 1 The Vocal Solo "I'm Afloat" by Mr. W. II. Northrop, was listened to with evident dxlight by every ere, and Mr. Northrop was compelled to come forth agaiu and roll out a few more jof those fine, rich notes before the audience would be satisfied. - - ! The Vocal Solo The "Message'' by Miss Callais, was rendered in pleasing style and appreciated by the audience, who gave Miss Callais an encore. The Piano Solo Melodies in popular airs, by Miss E.
