Annie Yancey, an old offender aud a
frequent attendant upou the Mayor's
Court, was arraigned this morning upon
the charge of disorderly conduct. Jud
meat was suspended, however, and the de
fendant discharged, in consideration of tne
fact that she had agreed to turn her back
on Wilmington, migrate to parts unknown
and seek new fields and pastures green,

parties concerned, and there being no
further busiuess, His Honor adjusted his

his head, and left the Chair in search, it is

The Brooklyn Sunday School Excur

Mr. J. W. Taylor,Superintendent of the
Brooklyn Mission Sunday School,announ
ced to the schoolyesterday that from the sale
of tickets and other sources for the ex
cursion on Friday last, enough was real-
ized to pay for the charter of the boat
and leave $13.75 to be put in the Treas
ury of the Sunday School. As the teach
ers and pupils all went free, this was
a very encouraging result . Mr. Taylor
also announced that the School would
have another excursion sometime durin
the latter part of August.
Meeting or the Board of Health,
The New Hanover County, Board of
Health held a meeting at the Mayor's
Court room in the City Hall oh Saturday
night for tha purpose ot considering the
condition of the Quarantine regulations'
of this port in deference to the Quarantine
Officer, and to take such steps as are
necessary to make the quarantine of the
part efficient. There was a good atten
dance on the part of the members of the
board at the meeting, and His Honor
Mayor Fishblate was aljo preset.
Dr. Walter W. Lane the present presi
dent of the Board presided and Dr. Geo.
G. Thomas the Secretary, recorded the
minutes of the meeting.
On motion of Doctor Wood aommit-
