Tbe following resolution was then of fered by Justice Walker Meares: j Resolced. That the Sheriff be requested to inform the Justices of the Peacaof the township of tbe refusal of any Registrar to accept the position of Registrar in said township by 10 o'clock, ion Monday the 30th September. , But before the resol ution could be ac ted upon tbe Chair announced that the meeting was without a quorum, where upon several efforts were then msde to get the truant members who had just slip ped the meeting back into the Court room again, but all were of no avail; this too, notwithstanding the fact that some of tbe worthy Squires were in tbe immediate neighborhood. The meeting in the first instance had to be postponed tB hour beyond the regular time owing to the tardiness of some of the Magistrates, and a quorum.was not reached until two or three parties pre sent volunteered to go out in search of a sufficient number to make a quorum hich was finally accomplished about 12 o'clock.and then just barely a quorum wa aecured.
