Driggists, Lock Haven, Pa. Beware of Tramps . There are tramps in the eity now, of whom it it well that our people should beware. A few days sinca they entered the residence of a gentleman on Fourth street, early in the morning, and; made their way up stairs to the bedroom occu pied by the? gentleman and his wife, neither of whom had risen. The former sprang from the bed and rushed to the drawer where he kept hit pistol, but the tramps made good their escape before he could reach it. Remarkable. W. H. Robbins, of tthis city, dr. brought into our office this morning a peach of this year's growth nearly as large as a partridge egg, which he gath ered from a young tree on his plantation 12 miles from the city. He informs us that the tree from which it was taken was bought ia the Vicinity of the Shen andoah Valley, Va., and that it was brought hero and transplanted last De cember. This is rather phenomenal, and crop is not yet ruined for this season. i l IntereSllnCT Meetings. .
