' Our Facilities and . Insurance Premiums. There are now in this city seventy five fire hydrants, 1 of which sixty are double and fifteen single.j In addition to these there are several private hy drants and the city has recently made an appropriation for thirty additional oues, which will be placed in position at the earliest possible moment. A fire hy drant is almost of as much use in an emergency as an engine, but notwith standing all of these increased facilities for extinguishing the fire fiend there has been as yet no deduction on fire insur ance rates which are looked upon by the property-owners of the city as burden some and out of all reason.
