We are pained to announce the death of Rev. William Closs, D. D., a distin guished divine of the Methodist Episco pal Church, South, and for many years a rresiding Elder in the North Carolina Conference, which occurred on Satur day evening at the residence of his son- in-law, at Enfield. His ago was about 75 years, and he had been a faith ful worker in the Christian ministry for about half a century.
