Onslow, Sampson, Duplin, Pender, New Hanover. Brunswick, Co lumbus. Rladcn, Cumberland, Moo:c, and Harnett twelve in all met in Warsaw yesterday. Tho meeting was called to order at 1 1 o'clock, by Capt. V. V. Uichardou, Chairman of tho Executive Committee, and on motiou of Mr.T J Arjiistrong Mesn O M Chestnut, and W S Cook among the "Magistrate were made temporary Secretaries. I A committee on organization wasap- speech advocating the nomination of D. H. McLean with great earnestness. Air. N. A. Sledman, of Bladen, took tlie stand and made quite a lengthy sjcech in favor of Col. II. B. Short. Dr. Arrendell. of Carteret, made a speech in advocacy of John W. Shack- clford.
