The Newt mmd Observer has obtained from the office of the Secretary of State the populatiocHof the several coon ties in the State, white and colored, which we print below, mod- which wDl be found valuable for reference by cam paigners and others. It appears that there were in 1890 twenty-one counties baring clear negro majorities, as fol lows: Anson, Bertie, Bladen. Caswell, Chowan. Craven. Edgecombe. Frank lin. GfftvrlUe, Greene, Halifax. Hert ford. Joans, Lenoir, New Hanover. Pasquotank. Pender. and Warren.
