We pub!ih elsewhere a card from Mr. G. J. Boney, Chairman of tho County Democratic Executive Cora mtttee, in which the facts relative to the l-roposcd division of time on 'the occa sion of Gov. Vance's speech in this city, cn last Thursday evening, . are fully set forth. It is evident that it was a pat-np job from the beginning and that Judge Rasscllhad no idea of being caught and skinned by Sena tor Vance ; hence tho programme and kence the blow wich tho originators of this iharp movement aro making about i'- If Judfc Russell was so anxious to meet Governor Vance why did not h:s Committee mako for him the nec sary arrangements daring tho week a'.otted them; instead f waiting until to hours before the. procession was appointed to form, whenthcy.wcll knew that the division could not be allowed. I: was certainly a cool request, that tha fn:ocrats should undo all that they done, unmake all of their prepara tions, abandon their ownjprivilegcs and i:r own grounds to accommodate tbeir enemies. Mr. Boney could haTC, don no other than ho did. Srxb a rc-i-wt under such circumstances did c: merit a reply. ' y - V r H VOL. VI. District Court. The L S.
