There is a strong desire here' to open
a vegetable and fruit trade with West

were against it. A grocer hero received
toVlay a lot of cabbages and apples,
from Pigeon RJver, which were nine
days on the road. As a consequence of
the delays in transit both vegetables
and fruit were in rather a dilapidated
condition on arrival. The, apples were
evidently excellent when
