Tbe use ot natural gas has become so universal in the foundries, factories, breweries, &c.. of Pittsburgh, Pa , that a saving of nearly 40,000,000 bushels of coal annually will be effected. It was formed by high water from the Columbia driving it into the Sandy, and baying since been covered with sand to the depth of two to five feet, the sun has little effect upon the frigid mass, and it will probably remain all Summer.
