It is an interesting number, and the leading editorial article on 'Scarlet Ferer and the Public Schools" is an important paper which should be read bj every parent, teacher or other per son throughout the State having tho care and health of children in their keeping. After speaking of the many ways by which this dreaded disease may be communicated to others, the article says: - But it is with ofpecial reference to the Introduction ot the disease through the public schools that we wish again to call attention, and. to urge that a rigid farantloe be always enforced against infected children, and that care be exercised that the child be not only isolated at home' from the other mem bers ot the family but also that 'a close observation be established to see that every possible souxeds of danger shall be clear ed away before the cbtyd is allowed to mingle again with us schoolmates. Along with the precautions is another almost as important to see that all the children in the family in which a case of scarlatina occurs shall, be kept at home until sufficient time has elapsed to con vince the intelligent physician that the danger of further infection is passed There is one otner cau tion to add totbi, that all clothing thai cannot be disinfected, either by chemi cal agents or the greater purifier, brat, shall be destroyed, and that the parents or geard'ant of the sick shall be charged that the patient shall not be allowed to wear any garment out of the sick room that has not been made safe by the . b . a ft means which me pnjsician snau pres en be. , OarKeirDreas Sbirt, T 13 Inch square bosom, with narrow plaits,1 reinforced ; a very handsome and elegant shirt.
