Iu conversation with gentleman this morning, who has re; cantly returned from quite an extended trip through that portion of the State bordering the Carolina Central Rail road, and the North Carolina Railroad, wo heard with great pleasuro o the prosperous a,nd "thriving condition ot the more important townsin those sections. Maxtoa (formerly Shoe Heel) Wadesbfro, Durham, Greensboro, Goldsboro and Fayetteville are all on the high road of financial thrift, while new villages arc springing up in almost every direction. A gentleman from Wadesboro informs us that the busi ness of that town wa3 never so. good as it has been during the past few months, and that - tho excellent condition ot . trade still continues, with nothiug Lo indicate ; any diminu tion in the volume of transactions.
