Inasmuch as Samson is dead, would it be admissible to say that any man carried a horse? Please give some ex aniples in which the word carry may be correctly used. Respect folly. Inquirer It would ba proper to say that you escorted the youne lady ; that she aceom panied you; that you drove the horse and that the horse carried or pulled you both. See Jacobi s large and fine assort ment ' i fishing tackle. He can surely please any fisherman with his assort ment. f Fine Horsed. Mr. Josiah Merrilt returned to the city last Saturday, after an absence of nearly two weeks in the blue grass section of Kentucky, where he had been to purchase a pair ot coach horses (or Mr. H. G. Latimer. He was suc cessful in the purchase and the horses arrived here last Saturday afternoon, and are said by judges or horte flesh to be the finest pair of matched horses ever owned in Wilmington They are thor oughbreds, of a bright bay color, with black manes and tails. They stand 16& hands highland so closely resemble each other that they might readily be taken for twins. They are docile and well broken and are pertect pictures of superb animals. The gentleman tor whom they were bought has a fond ness for fine horses, and in this pur chase by Mr. Merritt. who is an ex cellent judge, he has certainly secured prizes. They were bought at Paris Bourbon Co., Ky It ts Your Loss, When you ueglect to take advantage of the extraordinary big value for littie money at Shriek's When you can save $2, $3, $5, and frequently $10 on a suit ot clothes It certainly pays people to investigate, and those who fail to trade with Shriek are certainly not doing justice lo their tamilies. v by then b so foolish throwing your money away elsewhere that you can quickly save by trading with the Old Reliable?
