The people of the middle and Western parts o tbe State are wild on this sub ject and it may cause more trouble dur ing tbe next campaign than is now contemplated. Then, again, we should study tbe tac tics of the enemy as well a formulate apian of battle for ourselves. What will they do and who wili they nomi nate, are matters jof interests t us sec ond only in importance to our own in tentions and our own nominations. Is is hardly to be expected that tbfl Kepub licans will come out straight into the field and nominate a candidate of their own to bear the brunt ot the battle. Th; has not been their policy of la e years. They haven't yet gobbled up enough weak-kneed aud silly-pated Democrats to make their own calling and election sure and they are aware of the fact that they have uot strength enough in themselves to stand before the , Democratic cohorts. They also know full well that there are a few more fools left in our party and they will undoubtedly proceed to bid for some of, them. But wo can tight them without fear of the result it we will but continue to stand shoulder to shoulder and keep our powder dry. We have good men and good issues, and if we can only carry our men to the polls we do not (ear lor tbe result. The stay at-homes represent tar more danger to our cause than all the forces tho ennui y can bring to bear against us. 1 Personal. Mr. N. H. Frohlichstein, of Mobile.
