By the amendment the total ap propriation for judgments of the Court of Claims is inr reaped from $103,000 to $43.000. The pension bill went over till to morrow, with the understanding that niter the morning business it would be taken up and discusMon under the five minutes rule and a final vote taken before the adjournment. Mr. Outhwaite, of Ohio, from the Committee on Pacific Railroads, re ported favorabiy a bill extending the time for payment of theJovernment debt Mibsidized roads comprised within the Union Pacific system. House calendar. (This known a,s the "Outhwaite bill. 1 The Commit toe on Commerce re- forted a bill authorizing the estab ishment of a number of life saving stations. Among them one at Lynn Inlet, Va.. two between Ocracoke Inlet and Cape Lookout. N. C. The bill went to Committee of the Whole. In the morning hour the House passed a bill for a public building at Heclalia. Mo. It then took the bills reported from the Indian Commit tee, and iassed without amendment the bill ratifying and confirming an agreement with the Oros Vcntere, Piegan, Blackfeet and River Crow Indians in Montana. Under this agreement the Indians relinquish a large part of their present reserva tions, and in lieu accept sinaUer aud clearly defined reservations, the pay ment qf a stipulated sum of money, and the allotment of land in sever alty under certain conditions. The money is not to be paid directly to the Indians, but is to be expended in advancing them in civilization. The next bill considered was that to divide the Great Sioux Indian reservation into separate smaller reservations. This was amended and passed. It also strictly defines the limits of the new reservations. provides for allotments or lauds in severalty, and expenditures of cer tain sums annually in the advance ment of Indians in education, hus bandry, cattle raising- and other conditions of civilization.
