A Fox Catches
Did any of our readers ever hear
of a fox catching a crow If not we
can give them an instauee. . Some
time ago Mr. Robert Fox, who clerks
for Mr. W. II. Yopp.on South Front
street, was at Rocky Point and
while walking in the woods near
that'place with Mr- Mauger Croom,
of this city, saw a crow perched on
he limb of a small pine tree, about
the height of a man's head from the
ground. Mr. Fox. remarked to Mr.
Croom that he would catch that
crow, anil advancing by slow de
grees, and very stealthily, with bis
right arm extended at full length. in
front of him, managed to get under
the tree without alarming the bird.
He then -caught it by the feet and
held it firmly. The cro fought like
a good fellow Jbnt the Fox held on
tight and secured his prey. This is
amount of $1,100 on the dwelling to the effect that good beef is scarce in this
