We'believe that the State is safe and will surely go for Cleve land and- Fowle, provided and there's the but that the people will but do their duty and go to the polls and vote. There is no doubt of the party majority in the State but it will do us no good if it cannot be carried to the polls. To vote one must register and here an riitire new registration is required. The Ifiuvs and Observer aptly says: We are now Hearing the end of the great struggle. For months a cam paign in favor of'the people against unnecessary taxation has been waged with great earnestness; but with what result? There should be no doubt as to the result, but the power of the moneyed combinations is great, and their hold upon cer tain classes of our population is such as to blind them to the true inter ests of the country. We believe that New York and Indiana, Connecticut, ami New Jer sey will vote for Cleveland and Thurman, and we think it probable that Michigan and Wisconsin will do the same. The South should be solid; but the Republicans are mak ing a desperate elTort to carry North Carolina. Our information in re gard to this State is good, but we need every vote. Every Democrat in North Carolina should now work as if the election of Cleveland de pended.on him alone; as if the elec tion of a Democratic House of Rep resentatives in Congress depended on him alone: as it the election of the vntire State ticket depended on him alone as if hi alone were re sponsible for the election of a Dem oeratic legislature. This is no time for hurrahing: but it is a time for hard work, for individual elTort. j We mu.it win but whether we j shall win depends on the Democrats j of North Carolina. Let our friends be up and at work. CROFULA It is that Impurity in the blood, which, ac cumulating in the glands of the neck, pro duces unsightly lumps or swellings; which causes painful running sores on tha arms, legs, or feet; which developes ulcers in the eyes, ears, or nose, often causing blilidness or deafness; which is tho origin of pimples, can cerous growths, or the many other manifesta tions usually ascribed to "humors;" which, fastening upon the lungs, causes consumption and death. Being the most ancient, it is the most general of all diseases or affections, for very few persons aro entirely free from it, KoitvBoan G U R E O By taking Ilood's Sarsaparilla, which, by the remarkable cures it has accomplished, often when other medicines have failed, has proven tself to be a potent and peculiar medicine for this disease. Some of these cures are really wonderful. If you suffer from scrofula, be sure to try Hood's Sarsaparilla. "Every spring my wife and Children have been troubled with scrofula, sores breaking out on them in various places. My little boy,' three years old, has been a terrible sufferer. Last spring he was one mass of sores from head to feet, I was advised to use Ilood's Sarsapa rilla, and we have all taken it. The result is that ail have been cured of the scrofula, my little boy being entirely free from sores, and all four of my children look bright and healthy." "W.B. AxirBT02r,PsissaicCity,N.X .
