W& J,
The ex priest. Boyle, was found
guilty tit Raleigh on Saturday night
of an outrage on the1 person of Miss
Geneva Whitaker and sentenced to
be hung on the 29th of November.
His counsel however took an appeal
to the Supreme Court and as it is
hardly probable that ' the case can
come up at this term it is not likely
that Uoyle will hang before the
early.spring. The jury were out
about two hours and a quarter. It
is a righteous verdict.
