Frazier and Elias Pierce, all colored, who live on the Orton plantation,; near Fori Anderson, have been in iho habit t in earthing the shells which were thrown in to the Fort (luring the late war and bring ing them to the city to sell as old iron. About 1 o'clock yesterday' afternoon they arrived here with a number of the danger ousjraissiles and took them to Messrs. Hart & Bailey 'a foundry to dispose of them. John Riley, the Iri-h tinker, was again before this court, jesterduy morning, this time on- the chnrge of vagrancy. An examination of the cse resulted in a judgment by the Court to the effect that. the , said Riley shall go to the Work" House for thirty French & Son's store, near the corner of Front and Princess streets. The glass in the windows of the foundry and store were also badly shattered by the concussion. An examination of the wounded men showed lhat they had all received serious injuries. Drs. King, Wood and W. J. H. Bellamy were called in immediately upon the occurrence and rendered all the assist ance in their power to'the wounded men. Brown, who is said to be between 40 and 50 years old, was more ' injured than the others, and it was at first thought that he had but a fe minutes to live; but he af terwards revived sufficiently to converse.
