" Yesterday morning, about 10 o'clock, Strain loaded with passengers for the Fair- Grounds, while passing the vicinity of Union depot, run over a colored man, by the name of Ned Hous ton, badly crushing his left arm and leg. At the time the accident occurred he was walkldg on one of the tracks just beyond the switch, and hearing the train approaching he jumped from one track to the other, and, unfortunate ly, in the confusion of the moment, got upon . jr tk which be should have avoided.
