pense. Bob (Costin) asked ua to go to Annie
Hiir8 with him, and he said he wanted to go

stop at Annie's while he was away, but' went
over to Mailer's and got a drink. When Cos
tin came? back be complained .because we
didnt wait for him. Then I met Ab. MdHen
ny and went over for a drink, leaving Costin
and James- together. When we went back
toward Annie's I met James; who said, "Bill,9
I' ve been insulted by Bob Costin In at . Annie
Hill's and e -d d n him, 1 can lick him."
I told him to CO home, and as he went off
Costin eame up with Blossom, and while, we
.were talking J&mes came up, laid his hand on
my shoulder for a minuu, and I saw a blow.
