The foundation cribs across the last slew in the line of old stone work, have been placed in tosition and filled with stone to the line cf ow water. ; , ; ' The sand docs not seem to come up against the work 60 readily as at first, ' although the shoals are forming in front in a very satisfac tory mant.er, and will, no doubt, soon be brought up. mi The current of the main Iolet, slluded.toi our last report as tiklo? a South Eastwardly ireclion in front of Zke's Island, appears mo e detiued, and is evidently pressing to its iDjary, the point, or turn of the beach. This point is much ezpsed to the wind, as well as to this new current, and seems to re quire attenlioq to prevent serious injury.
