A letter was found there, written to his sister, in which he recounted his loss, and stated that he intended to commit 'suicide, and bidding her farewell. Early the next morning he returned to the river, and jumped in again. Again he was rescqed, restored to life, and this time taken to jail, where he was kept for two hours and. then discharged, since which there has been no information as to his whereabouts.
