Errors Corrected. . In the report, published in our paper of Tuesday, of the tax-payers' meeting held last Saturday, at South Washington, some errors occurred, as we are informed. No com plaint was made, as we are informed, by, him of any other "books" or county official, except the Board of Commissioners. . i i Here we would remark, parenthetically, that we were present during the investigation by the securities of Sheriff Black and heard that official remark that he was confident the speaker alluded to did not intend to convey the impression that Ida books M'cre kept loosely, but as the remarks, as report ed, were capable of such construction, he wished to set himself right before the public. . Another error: It is reported of another BDeaker that he said the State taxes amount- ed to 21.'000, more than they required, tie really said, as he informs us, that the Sheriff would collect nearly $21,000 in excess' of last year's taxes. - Tn ,-.t,iln r. nnnfilvM Wfl mUSi &dd that errora were n0t made in the Star offlfie.
