Wilson, of Hertford county, died very suddenly Thursday night, 22nd, ult. ,as was then supposed, of lockjaw. Dr. R. T. Weaver attended her,, and pressed a suspicion, oaseu uu tuersympioms, that strychnine had been administered to ber. Sue was taken ill on the moraing.of her death. Her husband, who had married only a few weeks previously, was arrested on suspicion of. having administered it. On Fridayjast a coroner's inquest was held , wnuout, uowever. 'exhuming the body of Sirs. Wilson, and returned a verdict that the deceased . came to her death by strychnine administered by some ptisoa unknown. It appears that Mr. Wilson is ubout 22 years f age. About five weeks ago he married deceased, she being between 45 and 50 years of age. '" During the late term of thej Superior Court in this city a colored ibdiyidual by the name of Robert Hill, who was in jail awaiting trial for larceny, addressed a note to His Honor, Judge McKoy, in which he informed him that he. was. a Democrat, that he supported him (the jJudge) in the late election and that he must remember these things to his advantage. After Hill's trial and conviction, and the.
