AJ Engelhard, Mn a W; Tick; Maj. T H. McKoy and Dr. ; H.! S. Norcom, was appointed by the Chair to confer with the Pender committee in regard to the plan to be pursued by the Convention. The joint committee retired, and after a short absence returned and re-, ported through' their" Chairman, recom mending that the nomination of Mr U.K. Bryan by the Pender convention be ratified and that the7 New, Hanover .convention nominate two additional candidates.
