A negro by the name of James Blackmao,
applied to Justice Magnin, yesterday after
noon, fur a warrant fur the arrest of Dr. H.
M. Wilder. 1'be negro had been shot in
the left arm, and made a statement to the
tfiect that Or. Wilder bad wanted bim to
engine in a prize fight with another negro,
and because he had refused - to do so, bad

woanded man had been an employee of

John Bell, a prominent colored politician,
