We give a brief synopsis of the evidence
of those ' who were in tbe house when the
affair occurred, as follows: Elijah Keeter,
the accused, and Peter Robinson, the mur
dered man, were' brothers-in-law, Robin
son having married Keeter's sister. Rob
inson had rented the house In which they
lived, and Keeter had rented a portion of
It from him, and waa sosae - weeks behind

ing that the rent was to be paid regularly.
On the Saturday Evening in question Mrs.
