Members of the Board of Education and School Committees of this township visited the Union public school, in the Southern section of this city, on Tuesday. Miss Nellie Cook is Principal of this school, and the teachers are Mrs. Fanuing, Miss Meares and Miss Leet. The examination showed very creditable progress on the part of the pupils, as well as evidences of very careful training. There is an average attendance of about one hundred pupils, all of whom manifest a proper appreciation of the ad vantage extended to them in the facilities provided for their education. Wilmington has just cause to be proud of her public schools.
