The Wilmington, Delaware, Radi cal negroes having got their bands in are throwing bricks at the white factory girls while on their way home from work. The police have been called upon for protection. Judge Lynch will take a trip in that direc tion if thev do not look out. Garfield is no friend of the labor ing man. In fact he is adverse to his interests and is in favor of the employers union. He advises the great manufacturers to employ the cheapest labor possible, and to secure that end advocates a continuance of Chinese immigration and Chinese cheap labor. ; And-that's the sort of fellow J Amea A. Garfield is. In the October number of New Remedies, a medical periodical pub lished in New York,- we notice a pa paper by Dr. Thomas F. Wood, of thhrplace, on "Turpentine, Roein and Allied Products." It is his death-knelt. Bat be telegraphs it is a"forgery. Of course. But it is his handwriting all the same. Mr. Abram S Hewitt, in his Cooper Institute speech, said: "Some people may incline to pronounce h a rorgery. i nave seen it. I am familiar with Ueo. Garfield's signature. I have compared it wijh letters in my posession and I have no doubt it is genuine. If it be a forgery it is the work of a consummate artist; but if I thoueht. after examination, that there was the slightest doubt of its authenticity I should not refer to it, but it accords with the course Gen. Garfield al ways took on questions affecting the inter est of employers.' Chairman Barnum said to-night that the letter was undoubtedly authentic. "Denis on Garfield's Dart is worse than useless. said he. 'It unmasks the Republican bol- lowness and hypocrisy on the labor ques tion through their chief." The New "York correspondent of tho Philadelphia Times says: "It was taken to Democratic headquar ters to-day and was examined by Messrs. S. J. Randal), VV- L. Scott, Senator Bar num, Mayor Cooper, A. 8. Hewitt and, in fact, all the leaders there. Mr. Randal said there was no doubt of its being genuine, He was familiar with Garfield's writing and was suro of its being Garfield's. The others were equally positive. The Democrats were in high feather over it and said that it would cost Garfield thousands of votes.
