factofthe arrest of a colored ' boy named
John Henry Brown, charged with stealing
a number ot keys from the locks uf a new
and unoccupied dwelling on the corner of
Second snd Mulberry street. Another col
ored boy aamed Bob Turner was arrested
Tuesday evening, charged with being im
plicated in tbe same transaction, and yea
terday still another boy, named Zack John
son, was arrested by Officer Ashe with five
of the stolen keys iq his possession. All
three of tbe youngsters are in jail awaiting
a preliminary examination before Justice
Gardner.

cant will be ranted a second examination
without the payment of a further fee.

The Board decided to issue a circular
givin g a full digest of the la w for the in
formation of all interested, which will be

The Board then adjourned to meet in
Raleigh on the 30th of August, 1881.

meet at the annual re union and join the
Memorial Association, and it is to be hoped
that each and every lady will be animated
by the desire to keep alive in tbe memory

We remember; them and thank them for
their kindly interest then, but those same,
or some of them who are still left here, do
not now aid to keep alive the memories
which they and we once loved.

this burden upon them. Let them consid
er it a labor of love, and every old soldier
will give bis aid, sod love them the more
for keeping alive the recollections of the
"time that tried men's souls."
