In reply to a dispatch in the Baltitnoid Gazette from New York, based on one from Nashville, Tennessee, In regard to the fail -ure of the peanut erop in that State, the Cincinnati dealers say: "Hundred of letter? have been received hero from nil parts of tbe peanut growing section of Tennessee, reporting a bad stand, numbers of tbe far mers having planted the third time, and still failed to get a good stand Every large housa io Cincinnati has a resident representative in Tennessee, and their re ports of an almo3tenttre failure of tbe erop are nearly unanimous. Some say there will be a third of a crop, some put it at one fourth, and others ven as low as 10 per cent. For tbe last five or six yeara there has been no Eastern capital invested in pea nuts in Cincinnati on speculation. The latest advices from there state that the prospect for a crop must depend entirely upon tbe plants that are now up, as it ia en tirely too late lo plant more. There has been a fair average demand for the Ten nessee peanuts during the present year, and the demand would have been much larger , but for the intensely COld Winter.'
