It seems that she seized an oppor tunity to enter the Dispensary during the temporary absence of Dr. Lane, Surgeon in charge, and from appearances she must have swallowed at least two ounees of the poisonous drug. It was some time after wards before the fact was discovered, when it was found that she was rapidly succumb ing to the deadly lethargy produced by the laudanum. The usual antidotes were ad ministered and remedies, applied, and at last accounts she had fully recovered from the effects of the poison. A Temperance Family Excursion.
