The pews and window-seals and facings are to be painted yet. Rev. Mr. Wood, who is taking a great deal of interest in the work, expects to bold the first services in the church, un der the new order of things, on the first Sundsy in September. We never saw committees more active than those who have charge of the arrange ments for the approaching Fais of the Fruit Growers' Association. They have almost given up their private business for the nonce. At the City Hall the sound of busy preparation and the checrfiil ring of the carpenter's hammer is heard all day, and none are busier or evincing more interest in tbe proceedings than Mayor Hall.
