In referring to the difficulty between Messrs. FranK Miller and t. W . fenny, in our last issue, we were inadvertently led into the error of stating that Mr. Miller had been committed to jail. The fact is that Mr. Miller at once . furnished the. ne cessary bond and was discharged from cus tody. By the way, we are glad to learn that the 1 injury to Mr. Penny is not supposed to be serious. The hammer seems to have glanced on' the skull, which was not frac- tured by the blow. The "condition of the wounded man was reported to be some- I what improved yesterday. Arrested at Last. - George Carey, colored, who stabbed an other colored man in the head on Wrights- ville sound soma six or'eight months ago, vUle sound soma SIX or'eight montns ago, inflicting what was feared at first would ' , prove a fatal wound, was arrested on a bench warrant at the corner of Second and Princess streets, yesterday, by Officer C. H. Strode. A warrant was issued for his arrest at the time of the stabbing, but he successfully eluded the vigilance of the officers. Carey was lodged in jail.
