Brainard, Bierberbacke, Cbnnell, Freder icks, Long and myself, sole surYivors, ar rived to-day, having been rescued at the point of death from Starvation by the re lief ships Thetis and Bear, June 22nd, at Camp Clay, northwest of Cape Sabine, -All are now in good health but weak. Swarm, chief clerk in' the local treasurer's office of the .Northern Pacific Railroad, is a defaulter. ; He was arrested at White Bear yesterday, where he had secreted himself in the woods. He bad attempted to commit suicide by taking morphine. His books were exam ined last night, and the amount of his de ficit wa3 found to be over $5,000." Swann was once wealthy, but lost his money by the failure of a New Jersey: bank. The money which he took from the railroad company was used in speculations in Wall Street. OHIO.
