They then took the rope off and left him for dead. After the party had left Ilatten got up, .went', home, dressed his wounds and left. In accordance I with a resoluUon adopted by the Board of Health, July 9th, t the President of the Board yesterday issued quarantine regula ula- I tions as follows: Ail vessels, together with their crews, passepgers and cargoes, on ar riving at the several quarantine stations in this State from the ports- of Toulon and Marseilles, and from any point that may hereafter become infected ? with cholera, h shall be detained for observation and dis infection, until such time as in the opicion of the Board it may be safe to allow them to enter the port of New Orleans ! Quarantine officers are specially charged to strictly enforce tnis order. The President of the Board to-day tele graphed Surgeon General Hamilton, of the Marine Hospital service, requesting wajt a revenue cutter be detached to cruise off the mouth of the MississiDDi river, to warn off all vessels from Toulon and Marseilles, ana direct them to go into quarantine at Ship island. . . . : .
