Judge Don ahue, iu the Supreme Court Chambers to day, granted an . attachment against the! property of the Mississippi Valley Bank, of Vicksburg, Miss., in an action brought by the National Park Bank of this city to recover f43, 466.34, claimed to be due to the plaintiff. New York, Sept. 17. In reply to a circular sent out by the Journal of Com merce, that paper will publish to-morrow, answers from 113 mills, representing 963 sets of cards, showing an actual lessening in production of 13,000,000 yards or 200,000 suits of men's clothing. It is further stated that many mills are idle or still running on short time, and will not start up or run full time until the demand so improves as to ensure the cost of manufacture. A "special from Farmer City, Ills., says: This morn ing a passenger train on the Indiana, Bloomington & Western Railroad, while passing westward struck a broken rail and was thrown from the track. Fifteen or twenty persons received such injuries as to render them perfectly helpless, but for tunately no one was killed. Some ten or fifteen others were injured, but not suffi ciently to prevent their going on.' Ex-Gov. Hendricks was on the trainmen route to Peoria, but miraculously escaped injury. Those who were in his company were bad ly injured. Much alarm and excitement were caused by the mishap.
