The flames spread to two build ings adjoining a double tenement and a single tenement house occupied by colored people. The store and the stock of goods it contained, belonging to Rev. A M. Con way, pastor of . the colored Baptist church,: were destroyed, as was also the smaller one of the two dwellings, which also belonged to Conway.
