' ' Miss Kate Castleton kwith her company of comedians ' will appear at . the Opera House to-morrow night in her new farci cal comedy called "Crazy Patch. " The St. Louis Post says the play "compares favorably with all the farcical comedies which have gained success. It relies on its thorough' absurdity to amuse, - and is con structed for no other purpose. Its mission is a success, if the verdict of the large au dience at the ' Grand last night may be ac cepted.': It kept the house in a roar of laughter from beginning ? to ; end. . The farce is an improvement . over, most of its kind, because it has more plot and more of genuine comedy in it thanjnost of them. There " is . lees " dependence on mechanical devices and rough " horse-play. Miss Castleton docs her share' with that clever ness, chit ' and quiet effectivenees which have made her so popular, The farce is unusually well cast, and is in the hands of competent people. Amateur Entertainments. T Amateur entertainments which . promise to.be of great beauty and attractiveness are in course of preparation and will be given in the Opera House this week.
