The series of meetings extending
through three weeks and one day at
Fifth Street Methodist Church closed
on Monday night. In all, six mem

fession of faith and after due private
examination. The members of the
Church were greatly edified and
strengthened by the most remarka
ble Benes of sermons. This
writer puts it on record as his honest
conviction, that the sermon on Sun
day night on "Blessed are the pure
in heart, &o.," was the most master-
ly and stirring discourse he ever
heard, save one other by the
same preacher, the young pastor.
Au alumnus in this city of the

an oversight we wrote the paragraph
that it might be corrected by those

alumni were excluded. An alumnus
with whom we have spoken has a
similar view. The correction will be
made promptly, we have no doubt.
