The Court of Claims has decided that the Government is responsible for the pay of the Congressmen which Silcott got away with. The classical concert to be given at the Opera House next Tuesday night promises to be a musical treat of rare excellence. Great care has been taken in the selection of the pieces to be ren dered, and the reputation of the artists professional and amateur who are to appear, is a guarantee of a brilliant suc cess for the occasion. While this is for the same object as the sacred concert given last week at the First Baptist Church, it is by no means a repetition of the same, nor is it to be a sacred con cert. Tickets, we learn, are already on sale at the bookstores. Home Building Association. An Interesting Meeting at the Booms Lae Wight. The meeting at the Y. M. C. A. last night was very interesting, Short and earnest talks were made by Messrs. Hel mick, Jaderquist and Codding, of Kan sas, Minnesota and Nebraska, respect ively. They gave their reasons for go ing to the Dark Continent in very fgp ing language. It is very elea? that they gre not 'gqing sls adventurers hut for the sole purpose of carrying the Gospel to the heathen, for they leave their families behind them, not knowing whether they shall ever see them again. It is clearly visible that they are really in earnest. They left at 10.10 p. m. for Charles ton, S, C7 where they will speak to- return to New Yorg,- Fflgrg WW take ship for their mission field.
