Charlotte News: Mr. Robert
C. McGinnis died at his home in this
city, at 9 o'clock yesterday morning. He
nad been sick for a long time with
Bright's disease. Mr. McGinnis was a
brother to Mr. E. D. McGinnis, and was
about 58 years of age. -About four
months ago Mr, Robert Morton, an en
gineer on the O. C. & A. Railroad, was
bitten by a mad dog. He went to New
York and submitted to the Pasteur
treatment. The treatment was.com-
plete, and paying $250 for it, Mr. Mor
ton left the Institute with the guaran
tee that he was cured, and indeed he
ieit tnat tne treatment nad been a per
fect success. On returning to his home
in Columbia he enjoyed good health un-
in witnin a lew aays past, wnen symp
toms of hydrophobia manifested them
selves. He grew rapidly worse, and
died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock.
The .physicians who treated him say
that there could be no mistaking his
malady. It was a genuine form of hy
drophobia.
