THE MOPwNING STAR, WILMIlI&TOft, SUNDAY,. NOMBER 211909. PAGE TWO from the field made with splendid judgment when the game had but one minute to go. Davidson Played Navy. Annapolis, Md., Nov. 20. In the concluding game of the local season today Navy defeated the team from Davidson College. The score was 4f. to 6. The visitors were much the lighter and were kept hustling during the whole of the second half, although they f managed to keep f their oppo nents busy during the first part of the game. Davidson's score was made very poon after the first half opened. Wilson fumbled one of Booe's punts and Pedan recovered the unclaimed leather for the visitors on the Navy's 5-yard line, from which point Pharr carried it over for a tally. Booe kick d Ihe goal that brought the score up to 6 for the visitors. ' The score: . " Navy , Davidson Hamlin, Fenn. ... le ..Pedan King ',Zenor, Hall It .......... Mich igan defeated Minnesota today in the fiercest gameifeeen on a Western grid! ron this year by a -score of 15 to 6 Michigan won the game in the sec ond half when the Wilverines .clearly outplayed the locals at every stage of the game. m : The game was even during the first half, both Michigan and Minnesota carrying the ball for long gains, half the length of the field for touchdowns Magldsohn- carrying the ball over for Michigan and Walker going over for Minnesota, a little later on a forward pass from Michigan's nine yard line But it was a different tale in the sec ond half. " Minnesota could do nothing with Michigan's powerful line and the two ' Wolverine ends were rarely able to stop the Gopher on the outposts Michigan tore big holes in the Minne sota line and kept the ball in Gopper territory most of 'the time. Michi gan's touchdown in the second half came when Magldsohn intercepted a forward pass on Minnesota's 35 yar.?. line and ran without interference for a touchdown, Allerdice kicking goal. Allerdice added three more points when he kicked goal from placement after Pattengill had made a far catch on Minnesota's 40 yard line. West Conquers East. Syracuse, N. Y., Nov; 20. The West again conquered the East at football fought from beginning to end. About the middle of the first half, with sev eral fresh men in, the Westerners started down the field.
