I for his apprehension and delivery to me at Fayetteville,
; or confinement in jail so that 1 get him again. And a
' further Reward of $1C0 for the apprehension and con-

I attorney to William .V. Kogers. of the couuty of Robe
son, and State aforesaid, fur the care anl protection
i of some ‘^cveral servanlt, tiien engaged in the Turpen
tine business, until ihey were re-hired by certain trus-
i lees, or returned to me, or so directed it wrote, and
for no other purpose whatever; to which a jiart was
re-hired by said t.ustees, in .March, 1H54, and balance
returned to me, at which time 1 considereil t:ie agency
of William A. Rogers nad ceased and was of no efl'ect.
But since then, (one or two mouths back,) 1 was cred
ibly iaformed that moneys due to me were paid ove;’ to
him, and under color of the said j>ower of attorney,
and he had received it accordingly, and delays the
payment of the iiftme to me or lay proper agent.
Now, be it known, that I did not consider him agent
for collecting or receiving any such moneys for me, .r
giving receipts, or having any thing further to do with
my servants after they were re-hired by trustees, and
balance of slaves returued tc me. As such, 1 do herel.y
revoke any and all such power of attorney, and such
agency !'eretofore and hereafter, an 1 all acts of his in
any way or manner toucljing the same premises in my
name, shall be null and void, from that lime, day and
date above written.

The course of study will be thorough, both in the
preparatory and collegiate departments, and a high
grade of scholarship required in order to graduation.
The Trustees and Faculty are determined that the
School shall stand in the front rank of Southern insti-
tions, in providing for tbe physicil wants and the
intellectual and moral improvement of the young
ladies committed to their care.
The Scholastic year will embrace 40 weeks, divided
into two Se-sions of 20 weeks each—the first Session
I commencing on the 15th inst., and the second on the
! 3d of March next. Pupils can enter at any time and
I will be charged from the time of entiance at the fol-
' lowing rates:

For the accommodation of young ladies in town who
wish to study or perfect their knowledge ot French,
Music, or any particular branch, provision will be
made for then, to attend recitations at particular
hours without being connected with the regular classes.
Payments, one half at the enti-ance of each Student,
and the balance at the end of each Session. Deduc*
tions made for absence only in cases of protracted
sickness.

of the State of North Carolina, ratified Dec.| 25 ; —
1862, authoriiing the Town of Fayetteville to issue !
her Bonds to the amount of •iilOO.OOO, in tbe aggre- j
gate, for the purpose of paying her subscription to the '
Western Rail Road Company.
Therefore, it is ordered by the Commissioners of
Fayetteville, that the Treasurer of the Town receive j
sealed proposals, until the 1st of November next, for
the purchase of $50,000, in sums of $500 each of said
Bonds, or any part thereof. Bonds to run twenty :
years, with Coupons attached,—interest payable semi- 1
j annually. The said Bonds shall be under the seal of
! the Corporation, and binding on the faith of the same,
