Chatham county, N. C., on the 8th inst., a negro
boy named JI.M, about 18 years of ape. of dark brown
color, about five feet high, heavy built, and weighs
from 140 to 150 lbs He is smart and (juick spoken,
and rocks when he walks. The only notable mark re
collected is a scar on the middle of the forehead, near
where the hair joins. He had on. when last seen, a
brown Tweeds coat, with tlaps on the pocket. A re
ward of Fifty Dollars will be paid for him, if taken
out of the county of Chatham, or Twenty-live Dollars
if taken in it.

finger of his left hand: has on his chin a goatee (or
long beard.) I expect he will endeavor to make his
