soundness of mind, as to admit of resuming

as to justify their friends in removing them
again to the family circle.
The estimated l ost of maintaining a patient

We might go on and compile other striking
facts lrom thus very comprehensive anil sat
isfactory report, but we have not the space to
devote to them. The state ot the institution, as
set forth therein, affords the best commentary
upon Dr. Fisher's fitness for his responsible po-
sition antl upon the judicious administration of j
the excellent Poard of Supervisors. No one I
ran rise from its perusal without an emotion of
gratitude and pride that our gootl old Htate has
fostered so beneficent an institution.
Wi shall take pleasure, in our next, in re
ferring to the report of Mr. Palmer, the efficient
Superintendent of our other noble State charity,
the Institution for the Deaf, Dumb and the
Blind, and collating sonic of the more, interest
ing particulars connectd with its successful op
