A large concourse ot the colored citizens of Wake assembled on the Capitol Sipiaie. to-day, at 11 o'clock, iu pursuance of notice heretofore given. We were gratified to see so large a number in attendance, notwith- standing the extra-ordinary efforts that were made to preyent a good attendance. We have rarely seen, in the City of Raleigh, so quiet, orderty and attentive a crowd. The hour at which we go to press pre clude any extended notice of the meeting, to-rlay, or ot the speeches of Gov. Worth t. d Messrs. Battle and Gales. ail of w inch were received with dlcided favor and exhi bitions of approval. We engaged. i,,r the occasion, the services ol a compete-r.t steno grapber, and will be able to-morrow to p;o sent a full abstract of the speeches on the occasion. We may simply say. for tadny, tiiat we trust that this movement is but the begin ning -and that our colored people will l o fre juently addresscd by our leading citiens. at every point in the State. Before Got. Worth closed hisrematks, we were compelled to leave. We learn that, when the Governor closed, James II. Harris. Jas. F. Taylor and James Jones were called up, all of whom addressed the crowd TOE COLORED HEEllSt; The meeting held on yesterday, on the Capitol Square, called y our colored eiti zeos, tu in all respecta a success.
