Tar whole are yet not creditable to the State, and the location has not one feature to recommend it. It is not our purpose, however, it this time, to suggest rcmedie. We propose to speak of tbe Institution and its management as we saw them. The grounds in front of the buildings are about ts well arranged and as wtll kept as they are capable of. Those In the rear are being brought into excellent order by dint of hard work. The old main building is a cranky, crazy concern, sadly iu need of being supplanted by a new one. The new wings aro good and substantial and well adapted to their usee, though the entire establishment needs free applications ol paint and white wash. The school rooms are conveniently ar ranged, each being accessible to all the others without subjecting pupils or teach ers to the vicissitudes of tbe weather. The dormitories are very creditable to the management. They are airy, neat and comfortable, well supplied with hot and cold water and with ample bathing fat-P ities. The dining room arrangements also are good, and the kitchen contains nisny of the modern improvements lead ing to oconeru) and efficiency.
